Middle School

Students in the Middle School are departmentalized and begin moving from class to class for each academic subject. Students are exposed to a challenging yet not overwhelming course of study. Reading transitions to a Language Arts class, where grammar, vocabulary, writing and novel work may have a different emphasis. Similarly, students who demonstrate advanced knowledge and ability in Math may be enrolled in advance courses. For example, a middle school student may be taking high school credited pre-algebra, algebra or geometry.

Our mission is to offer a program that provides a Christian environment, which fosters academic excellence while providing for spiritual, physical and intellectual growth. The Basilica School of St. Paul middle school curriculum encourages students to show initiative, find a voice in writing, to manage time wisely and to take personal responsibility for learning.
